Hello ASI Subscriber thank you for joining the ASI team:

Many of our service calls are “My internet is out … or running slow” and have a common problem, sometimes there is a simple solution that can be performed by the subscriber in less than a few minutes.

  • The common problem is that the WIFI router is not functioning correctly because an electrical surge or power outage (quite common with PG&E) caused it to malfunction.
  • The solution is to have the subscriber “reboot/power cycle” the router and ASI wireless device/POE. Note: “Reboot/power cycle” means to turn a device OFF and then back ON.

To Reboot your Router and ASI Radio Manually, Follow These Steps:

  1. Unplug the power cord from the back of the wireless modem/router. (Make sure you have unplugged the correct cord by checking that all the lights on the router go OFF.) Next, unplug the power cord from the ASI Radio POE(power over ethernet) device. This device should be labeled POE.
  2. Wait for 30 seconds.
  3. Plug the power cord back into each device starting with the POE device and then the modem/router. Wait for the power lights and the internet light to turn green, or sometimes amber and then green. (Each modem/router is different)
  4. Once the lights are back on and flashing, check to see that you are back online. This process can take 3 to 5 minutes to fully come back online so be patient.

You should now be able to get online. If not please call the ASI customer service at 831-674-4075 and let them know you have restarted your devices.
